Love More

We often read Acts 4 for encouragement as Christians to be bold in the faith. We want to be courageous in speaking the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We want to stand up to the worldly powers that may be who oppose God's way. We hold tight to these moments, we cheer when these passages of courage and boldness of Peter, John, and other disciples prayer for boldness! We, the Church often want a strong relationship with God and to be known for being bold. But we often miss that last portion of chapter 4 of Acts. The part where we see that God continues to speak through Luke about the differences between the world and Christians. Yes Christians are bold, yes Christians have a relationship with God, but we should also have love for our brothers and sisters in Christ. At the end of Acts 4 we see that the Church which is more closer to God incarnate than we are, chose to have all things in common. What does that say to us today? I think we should be just as concerned about the horizontal relationships (Christian ↔️ Christian) as we are with the vertical relationship (Christian ↕️ God). Do we have real relationships with our brothers and sisters? Are we willing to give from our excess?  Are we willing to be open and honest enough to receive? Chew on those a bit and then let's talk about it Sunday @ Ave G!  #PeopleOfMore #AveGCoC #LoveMore
